The Inspiration
Christmas mass was about to begin at the historic church in my town. The incense was just added to the thurible and was lit. The hundred-year-old bells were tolling. I chose Omani Frankincense and Ethiopain Myrrh for N° 6 because they are the two main types of incense burned during mass. Frankincense is fruity, citrusy, and woody, while Myrrh is sweet and spicy. Tonka Bean adds a wonderful smokiness and depth to the sweet resins. I chose Mexican Vanilla because it has the amazing ability to smoothen and add creaminess to a composition.
The Composition
Dark, rich, and sophisticated Mexican Vanilla and Tonka Bean provide a quiet but intoxicating smokiness, while spices whirl around a complicated oriental accord of Omani Frankincense and Ethiopian Myrrh.
The Presentation
