N° 9 Extrait de Parfum
It was late spring and the flowers just came into bloom. The laundry just went out to dry for the day, and I caught a whiff of fresh linens and crisp spring air. I chose Bergamot for the top note in order to bring a cool zinginess that my Northern Minnesotan home notoriously sustains well into April or May. I chose Jasmine Grandiflorum absolute for N° 9 because the Grandiflorum variety is cleanest to me and evokes a strong memory of the outdoors. Musk, more specifically, an accord of white musks, brings back fond memories of a particular detergent used throughout my childhood. Mexican Vanilla is my favourite variety of Vanilla because it is incredibly balanced in its spicy, creamy, and sweet facets. It is perfect for bringing a warm contrast to the bitter opening of Bergamot.
An explosion of zesty, crisp, and cool Calabrian Bergamot opens up to an opulent heart of Jasmine Grandiflorum and White Musk, followed by creamy and smooth Mexican Vanilla.
